THE CLIENT

Visit Evanston is a destination marketing organization with the primary objective of stimulating Evanstons economy and supporting local businesses through tourism and increased hotel and motel bookings. Located in Evanston Wyoming, the organization is dedicated to building the region's image as an attractive destination for visitors to explore.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

In collaboration with the Simpleview team (a tourism software provider), we were tasked with the creation of a new identity for the Evanston region that would resonate with a mass market while capturing the essence of the all-American experience in a unique way. We developed a comprehensive brand that can represent the community as a whole while catering to travelers seeking the quintessential American West adventure.

 

Our design approach centered around the theme of adventure, a common thread among the diverse attractions of outdoor exploration, wildlife encounters, rodeo culture, and railroad history. By leveraging Evanston's position as the jumping-off point for these experiences, we crafted a visual identity that speaks to both an older more traditional audience and a progressive younger demographic.

Success for us meant fostering community engagement and advocacy for the brand, with designs versatile enough to fit on t-shirts and business cards alike. We strategically utilized Wyoming's brand equity and the allure and mystery of the American West to position Evanston as the ultimate destination for embarking on a day of adventure with the opportunity to return to the community for the comforts of western hospitality.
